TAX and VAT

All prices shown in our web shop are in UK pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT (at 15%). Orders delivered within the European Union will be inclusive of VAT.
Purchases made outside the EU can be exempt from UK VAT charges. Our VAT registration number is GB 745 2085 36.

Delivery

Orders will be despatched during the 5 working days following receipt of payment. There is an additional Express Delivery service available should you wish to purchase it. We will acknowledge your order by email, and will provide an estimated delivery date at that time.

You can also have a gift delivered to the recipient by supplying an alternative delivery address. A personal message can be added should you wish. The invoice will be sent to the billing address.

All UK orders will be sent by Royal Mail special delivery and will require a signature upon receipt. European and USA orders will be sent by Airsure.

UK Delivery is free.

Under normal circumstances, your order should reach you within:

  • Next working day for UK delivery
  • 4 working days for other EU countries
  • 5 working days for USA

In the unlikely occurrence that we cannot dispatch your order within these time scales, we will contact you by e-mail.

Returns and exchanges

If you are unhappy with your piece of jewellery in any way, it can be sent back for exchange or a full refund. Goods must be returned unworn, in their original packaging, and within 7 days of receipt. They must be sent by special delivery in order to minimise any risk of them going astray in the post. Please email us in the first instance to obtain a return authorisation number – info@vangansen.co.uk.

We regret that we cannot exchange or refund customer damaged goods – your statutory rights are not affected. Please note that we are not responsible for return postage. Refunds to you will be made upon receipt of the returned goods once it has been re-checked by us. All undamaged, correctly returned products will be credited to the original purchaser’s credit card. Alternatively, you can request a Van Gansen merchandise credit that can be used against future purchases at www.vangansen.co.uk.

Caring for your jewellery

Sterling silver, semi-precious stones and pearls:

The simplest and most effective way of cleaning silver is with a silver polishing cloth or a jewellery cleaning cloth.

It is very important not to spray perfume onto pearls as they can react. It is best to use a lightly dampened cloth to wipe the pearls after wear to avoid any residual build up. Semi-precious stones may be cleaned in the same way.

Warranty

All pieces are guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase with allowance for normal wear and tear. However, items damaged through no design or manufacturing fault will be replaced at the customer’s own expense.

Items temporarily out of stock.

We do our best to ensure availability of all our products. If, however, a design is temporarily out of stock we will advise you of the delay and expected delivery date.
